Parent volunteers are stationed at the back bike racks every morning 8:00-8:30 am to help with safe arrival at school. Get a tag and we will scan it when they arrive. Parents then get a text message or email letting you know they arrived safely! We also track miles ridden, days ridden, pounds of CO2 saved and other fun facts. But it’s not just for bike riders – if your child gets to school any way other than you dropping them off in a car, this is for you too. The program is run by the City of Davis and sometimes they have challenges where we can win a popsicle party. In the depths of winter, we host the Polar Pedal with hot chocolate and free swag like gloves and ear warmers. Contact marshall.roberts@gmail.com if you need a tag for your child.
P.S. if they lose their tag, they can get a new one or use their code name to check in.
P.P.S. We lost two parent volunteers this year, let Marshall know if you can help 🙂
