PTA Officers Needed For Next School Year

Our PTA Board has two open positions for next school year and is looking for volunteers to step into these roles. Info on each open position is below. We are hoping to find coverage for them by early May ideally. Please contact current Board President Samantha Jones with more questions samjeannejones@gmail.com

• Vice President of Community Building

  • Plans events throughout the year that bring our school community together, like the Variety Show, Loteria (Bingo) Night, Movie Nights, etc. This position can be what the person volunteering would like it to be.

• Auction Fundraising Co-Chair

  • Supports the Auction Chair by managing the donation solicitation process for the many items we sell at the auction dinner.

• Communications Co-Chair(s)

  • Supports the Communications Chair by managing one of the following MME PTA communication channels: 1) Email/Pony Express 2) Posting to Social Media, 3) MME PTA Web Site Manager. If you have any interest in helping out in any of these aspects of MME communications, please reach out to Callie at mmekids@gmail.com.

MME Variety Show!

Visual and Performing Arts – Thursday May 23rd, 6:30pm

May 23rd, 6:30pm is the MME Visual and Performing Arts Variety show!  Come see art and performances by our fabulous Mustangs. You will be blown away by their talent, enthusiasm and bravery!

It’s a wrap on performing artist auditions, but there is still an opportunity to sign up to submit art for the Variety Show.

Do you like to create art?  Paint, draw, sculpt, upcycle, or otherwise get your creative juices flowing?  Sign up to submit art for the Variety Show!  Art must be submitted no later than May 16th to the MME office.  It should be ready to display, and not need additional framing or mounting.  Please put your name on the back of your artwork. You may only submit ONE artwork.  Artwork should be original (no tracing) and school appropriate.  You must sign up at this link to participate!

Montgomery Day

MME Quad

June 4, 2024, 4-7pm

The MME PTA is pleased to present Montgomery Day on Tuesday, June 4th from 4-7 pm. This annual PTA sponsored end of school celebration for our students, staff, and community has traditionally been the most well attended event of the year! Come join us outside on the main quad, with FREE activities including waterslides, games, cotton candy, and glitter tattoos. Don’t forget a swimsuit, towel and sunscreen. Bring your own picnic or purchase food from Zim Cuisine, The Hotdogger, and Kona Ice. Kona Ice will donate a portion of the proceeds to MME!

Also, just a reminder that this is an event for the MME community, which includes students and their families.

This is not a drop-off event, please stay with your children.

Signed PTA permission slips are required in order to attend. Please turn them into the office by Monday, June 3rd.

Volunteers are needed (and much appreciated!) during the event to help with monitoring the water slides, games, glitter tattoos, etc. Please sign up here if you can help.

Ways To Support MME and the PTA:

• Watch this newsletter for volunteer opportunities

• Become a member of the 2023-2024 MME PTA by filling out a quick google form and paying the $12 Annual Membership fee.

• Attend monthly PTA meetings (in person or on Zoom)

• Participate in PTA fundraisers

• Do you shop at Nugget? If so, pick up a Nugget Scrip card at the MME office. A portion of your transaction will go to MME PTA, generating over $200 a month for the PTA.

MME Espectáculo de Variedades!

Artes Visuales y Escénicas – 23 de mayo, 6:30pm MPR

¡El 23 de mayo a las 6:30 p.m. es el espectáculo de variedades de artes escénicas y visuales de MME! Venga a ver arte y actuaciones de nuestros fabulosos Mustangs. ¡Te sorprenderá su talento, entusiasmo y valentía!

Se han cerrado las audiciones de artistas (los ensayos comienzan esta semana, todos los artistas deben asistir a nuestro primer ensayo este miércoles 1 de mayo a las 1:45-2:45 en la Sala de Música de MME), pero todavía hay una oportunidad de inscribirse para enviar arte para el programa de variedades.

¿Te gusta crear arte? ¿Pintar, dibujar, esculpir, reciclar o hacer fluir tu creatividad? ¡Regístrese para enviar arte para el programa de variedades! El arte debe enviarse a más tardar el 16 de mayo a la oficina del MME. Debe estar listo para exhibirse y no necesitar marcos ni montajes adicionales. Por favor, ponga su nombre en la parte posterior de su obra de arte. Solo puedes enviar UNA obra de arte. Las ilustraciones deben ser originales (sin calcos) y apropiadas para la escuela. ¡Debes registrarte en este enlace para participar!

Día de Montgomery

La PTA de MME se complace en presentar el Día de Montgomery el martes 4 de junio de 4 a 7 pm. ¡Esta fiesta anual de fin de escuela patrocinada por la PTA para nuestros estudiantes, personal y comunidad ha sido tradicionalmente el evento más concurrido del año! Únase a nosotros afuera en el patio principal, con actividades GRATUITAS que incluyen toboganes de agua, juegos, algodón de azúcar y tatuajes brillantes. No olvide el traje de baño, toalla y protector solar. Traiga su propia comida al aire libre o compre comida de Zim Cuisine, The Hotdogger, y Kona Ice. ¡Kona Ice donará una parte de las ganancias a MME!

Además, solo un recordatorio de que este es un evento para la comunidad de MME, que incluye a los estudiantes y sus familias.

Este no es un evento donde usted puede dejar a su estudiante, por favor quédese con sus hijos.

Se requieren hojas de permiso de la PTA, firmadas para poder asistir. Por favor, entréguelos en la oficina antes del lunes 3 de junio.

Se necesitan voluntarios (¡y son muy apreciados!) durante el evento para ayudar a monitorear los toboganes de agua, juegos, tatuajes brillantes, etc. Por favor, regístrese aquí si puede ayudar.
