Available Grants

Fine Arts (Visual, Performing, and Literary) from PTA (up to $500 per classroom)

  • Fine ArtsSubmit a Request for PTA Fine Arts Grant to the PTA President box in the school office at any time, but no later than by Friday, January 27th, 2017 for approval.
    NOTE: Requests for the Fine Arts Grant must be approved by the PTA President before reserving or booking outside talent/professionals or purchasing items.
  • The PTA Treasurer will email updates on teacher balances each month in advance of our PTA Meetings.

Teacher & Specialist Classroom Funds
 MME PTA is pleased to offer up to $300 to each Teacher and $200 to each Specialist in the in 2016-2017 school year.

  • These funds can be used for any type of classroom supply that is desired to supplement teaching and are a reimbursable expense.  These Teacher & Specialist Classroom Funds can be used all-at-once or spread out throughout the year.Classroom SuppliesYou may purchase supplies for your classroom, and submit a PTA Reimbursement Form with associated receipts to the PTA Treasurer box in the school office at any time throughout the year, but no later than Friday, May 26th, 2017.
  • If ordering through Office Max/Office Depot, please indicate on the form that you want it to come from PTA Funds, and submit a photocopy of the order form with a PTA Reimbursement Form to the PTA Treasurer box in the school office.
  • The PTA Treasurer will email updates on teacher balances each month in advance of our PTA Meetings.

    Grade Level Field Trip Funds (up to $1000 per grade level)

  • Field TripsEach grade level team will need to collaborate on the best use of the funds for the benefit of all students in that particular grade.
  • Once your team has a plan (including activity, dates, transportation, and budget), it must be approved by Principal Jennifer McNeil and then submitted to the PTA President Kelly Coleman at  kelly.e.coleman@gmail.com no later than Friday, January 27th, 2017.

SEAL Materials (up to $2000 per classroom)

  • SEALPTA has set aside $2000 per classroom (up to $26,000 over 3 years) for the purchase of new materials in support of the Sobrato Early Academic Language Model being rolled out at MME for Kinder through 3rd Grade between 2016 and 2019.

Professional Development (up to $6000 for 2016-2017 school year)

  • Teacher Professional DevelopmentPTA has set aside $6000 for Professional Development aimed at teachers & staff supporting 2nd-6th Grades in the 2016-2017 school year.
  • These funds are managed by the Principal, and all requests for professional development should go through the Principal.

Book Fair Credit (up to $50 for the Fall & Spring Book Fairs)

  • PTA provides a $25 credit at the Fall Book Fair and another $25 credit at the Spring Book Fair for each teacher to purchase books for their classroom libraries.

Davis School Arts Foundation (DSAF)

  • DSAFThis is not through the PTA, and individual teachers are responsible for applying for these grants.
  • DSAF uses an online digital application process. The deadline for DSAF grant applications is usually in late October, and announcement of grant awards usually occurs in November.
